Betting involves risk

Sports betting is entertainment, not income. Every bet carries risk, no analytics tool changes that, and no outcome is ever guaranteed. Decide what you can afford to lose before you place a bet, set that limit, and stop when you reach it. You must be 21 or older to bet where applicable, and betting is only legal in certain jurisdictions.

Signs of problem gambling

Take these seriously, in yourself or in someone close to you:

  • Chasing losses with bigger or more frequent bets
  • Betting money you cannot afford to lose, like rent, bills, or savings
  • Hiding betting activity from family or friends
  • Feeling anxious, irritable, or restless when not betting
  • Borrowing money to bet

Where to get help

Help is free, confidential, and available 24/7:

  • Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER
  • National Council on Problem Gambling: ncpgambling.org
  • Gamblers Anonymous: gamblersanonymous.org
  • Self-exclusion is available through your state's voluntary self-exclusion program; most state gaming commissions and every regulated sportsbook support it

If gambling has stopped being fun, stop gambling and reach out. It works.
